This almost makes me wish I still had my first PC. I thought I was the man with my IBM 486-DX2. 66 mhz, a HUGE 500 meg HD and Windows 3.11. I crashed it the first night editing config.sys so I could play the original Nascar Racing.

To think how far we've come in just 12 years. What in the world will we be using 12 years from now?

ok kinda related question... i have an old cyrix 233 mhz cpu that i wanted to put in to play unreal gold but the pc would only go to the splash screen and then no further. is the motherboard to crappy to take it. it came with a p1 166 mmx which i replaced with my own p1 166 mmx with a different model number same volts etc. which worked

the original pc was a compaq model 4505.
