Finally setting up notfreds on all of my boxes.
All I can say is WOW at the increase in PPD.

I'm wishing that I had made a better choice when picking up the cpu for the kid's computer though. the darn e7400 doesn't support VT so no notfreds. :(

good to see ya finally made the switch.. its well worth it..

though at 2.8ghz i dont think the e7400 would do that much.. should overclock that puppy to 3.6-4ghz.. then you would really see a difference.. :p hell.. same goes with all your cpu's.. poor q6600.. isnt even getting pushed that hard.. should get that thing to 3.6ghz and see atleast an 800 point jump in PPD per VM..

Yeah, I've been running the winSMP client
after the major increase in PPD using the notfreds on my other boxes it was a bit of a disappointment to see that there was no VT on the e7400.
I may have to FS/FT it.
 
notfred's is very nice :D

I only buy quad-cores (Intel or AMD) so I can run the SMP client as well as GPU clients.

If you do replace it, the new E6300 would be a good choice to swap it with.

on a side note, doozer, what are your speeds for those scores? we share 2 of 3 CPU's so I'm gonna use your #'s as a base for what to shoot for when I come back online in the end of july
 
judging by my 3, Im assuming he's just over stock on those, but nothing crazy
 
8800GT SC at stock speeds of 650/1620/950
GTX275 running at 633/1650/1134
All of my CPUs are running at stock except for the Q9450 which is running at 3.2Ghz

I can hardly wait for my second GTX275 to get here on Monday :D

 
My vanilla 8800GT does 700/1700/1000 no problem, can't hurt to try. Makes about 5100ppd.

I was pulling down around 28k PPD when I took that screenshot.
FahMon has been reporting between 25k and 31k.
