Finally got a 775 bolt-through conversion kit

nice upgrade

out of curiosity: any improvement in temps compared to the pushpins?

oh :p

thanks anyway

I noticed the new Freezer 7 Pro uses a bolt-through... I'm sure somebody has compared the two.

I had hell with the clips when I tried out my (broken) E7200 and I knew I would have to do something else when I got the E6750.

Newegg's Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 was $40 and I wasn't willing to pay that. If I'd known I could get them from eBay/Directron/etc for $20-25 + ship I would have probably bought the Rev 2 so I could keep the other unit intact. Oh well.

I got a slight temp decrease with my Cogage True Spirit going from push pins to a Bolt-through. Nothing to get too excited about, just 3 degrees averaged across the cores.
