My 3.0 has great noise cancellation. It just lacks that low end of the voice spectrum. 4.0 will be great on noise cancellation, low end, clarity and not needing to be so close to your mouth.

For those of us with audiophile range headphones, the modmic fits the bill being able to use them for online gaming, skype, etc.
 
Excellent. Looking forward to seeing/hearing some 1st hand reports on the new model.
 
I have no real tech. qualifications, but for what it is worth the 4.0's meet or exceed my expectations in all ways...build/sound quality...well worth it. Paired with DT 990 PRO's.
