My plans here are to build a stable gaming machine, i would like to eventually go to an eyefinity/nvidia surround set up. I'm looking to see if there any bad choices in this set up and I'm really not sure which heatsink to go with, I'm leaning towards Xigmatechs stuff but Noctura seems to be top notch too, so a suggestion would be great.

Case: COOLER MASTER Storm Sniper
Mother Board: EVGA x58 SLI
CPU: i7-920 or 930 (I've read January and Febuary on this thing, so not sure of release date)
RAM: OCZ OCZ3G1600LV6GK
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS
PSU: CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W
Grapics: Geforce GTX 285 (already own this)
DVD: Not sure, probably Sony Optiarc 24X

How much do you want to spend on a heatsink? The CM Hyper 212+ is a great performer.
BTW I would scrap the OCZ ram for g.skill.

Well I was trying to keep it up under $60 but that is not a hard limit. As for the RAM, i took a look at the evga website and selected from thier supported memory list.

The Hyper 212+ costs around $30.

Again, scrap the OCZ RAM for a G.Skill 1.5V DDR3 kit. The OCZ kit runs at 1.65V, which is the limit for safe operation with the Intel Core i5/i7 series processors. That becomes a "hard" limit if you're trying to overclock the processor.

Just about any optical drive would work for your need. Samsung and LG drives are reportedly quieter than the rest of the competition.
