thats a great mobo same one i have, but do you really need a dvd-rw drive it just kinda seems like w waste to me

also i would go wit a different case that lanboy is kinda plain and uniteresting and theres only oine spot for a fan in the back

Looks good...my only suggestion, you can get the 8x Lite-On burner for only 20 bucks more...might be worth the 7 minutes per DVD.

suggestions then in same price range........ im getting it for 65 plus tax....... sooooo

btw i like the look. i think u cant beat that case for the price since it comes with a good powersupply also....... thats just me

Are you getting a keyboard/mouse combo and OS with your BestBuy discount? Or are you tranfering both of those from your existing computer? Those are the only things I see missing from your rig.

Other than that, nice job.

looks really good, but that motherboard.. isn't there a revision board out for it? like the NF7-2 or something? i thought i recalled that, so really look into it, it fixed some OCin stability problems (at one time i thought i would be making a Barton system as well....) other then that men, good job

Toss the DVD-ROM and just get a Lite-On 811S DVD burner instead.

I've heard bad things about Nforce2 MBs, so you may want to get one from a different chipset. Can anyone suggest an alternative?

mouse/keyboard are logitech elite combo i have from my old comp.

OS is windows xp professional i get through microsofts PUP (personal use program) i get xp professional and microsoft visual studio for 10 bucks plsu 7 bucks ship;ing and handling each :)

im sticking with the lanboy but dropping the dvd burner for now..... picking up a set of logitech z-3's instead from bsetbuy for 65 bucks :)

PSU I'd go with is Antec True430. It doesn't look like you are running anything that intensive that you'd require more then that, IMO. Just spend those extra few bucks to get something that will last and keep running good power to your system.

edit: I just saw that you are getting 2x512mb sticks of Mushkin. If I were you I'd just go with the matched pair for currently $300 at newegg because it saves you the $6. Plus if you live in one of newegg's taxable states like i do it's a little bit of a difference.
