Final Fantasy VII Remake Will Include Dramatic Changes

Plenty of JRPGs exist in the handheld world. The recent DS remakes have been great, and they are almost entirely graphical-only updates.
 
I'm glad they're doing a complete remake. If I wanted to put the nostalgia glasses on I can just fire up the Steam version, the PSN version, or my original black binding PSX version. A simple graphical overhaul would get boring to me very quickly. We already got enough fan service with the Advent Children movie.
 
No matter how nostalgic some games are, they're just way too dated to play again.

A lot of the newer generation of kids probably wouldn't even give FF7 a shot even though it's held in such high regards by many.
