Filter screens to block Sunlight

I have a laptop with a 12.1" screen that we use outdoors. The bright sunlight makes it difficult to see the laptop screen.

I was referred to a 3m product, which is a privacy filter. However, they said that it would also help stop the sunlight from washing out the screen. The 3m product link is Here

My question is do these these privacy filters w/ antiglare actually help stop the sun from washing out the laptop screen, or am I being sold something I don't need? Filters for larger screens are easy to find, but I'm having problems finding an appropriate filter screen for laptop with a smaller 12.1" screen.

Ohh, I would like to know this as well.. I want to use my laptop outside once in awhile, but it just gets soo washed out my eyes really strain to make out anything

ive used monitors with those 3m anti-glare filters and they dont help if the sun is right on it. I ended up taking mine offf because it made it harder to see.
