Now that I am most likely not going to use the T3 i ordered I have a few questions.

Fillports, how do most people position them and how are the mounted on your case? I am assuming they should be in a location that they are the highest point in your system. Are they really even needed?

Pumptops, should I bother getting one for the D5 or is stock just fine?

D5 pump tops show smaller performance gains than a DDC pump top. However you do gain better usability not having to use the crappy molded barbs.

Fillports are simply a convenience factor, or with my past use of them in projects, a feature of aesthetics as well. I usually slap them on the top of a rig. They generally should be used higher in up in the loop, since fluid doesn't go against gravity without the help of a pump. ;)

D5's top works just fine stock, but whatever you need/want you should get.

Good luck!

I think it is more common for fillports not to be mounted to the case. That way it is easier to access, fill, and bleed.

The stock D5 top is fine performance-wise, the the fittings aren't particularly pleasant to work with.
