i run a small fileserver running linux to store my backups and to download/seed torrents. so i'm pretty sure torrent has some sort of file verification to make sure your downloads are complete and error free. so presumably my files on the server are all okay.
the problem occurs when i copy my files onto my desktop (the sharing is through samba). sometimes when i copy the file over, the file gets corrupted. the md5sum is different. is this a problem in vista? or is there something wrong with my server?
