File Recovery Software: Suggestions?

I have mistakenly deleted ALL of my files another PC using jv16 Power Tools.

Can anyone recommend good file recovery software? I'm looking at:

1. Iolo's Search and Recovery 4
2. Handy Recovery
3. WinUndelete
4. Active Undelete
5. PC Tools' File Recover

The PC has Windows XP.

Any suggestions/comments will be appreciated.

EasyRecovery from Ontrack ftw!!!

Been using it for a long long time now, several years, and it's never failed to recover files if they are recoverable, which is the most critical aspect of file recovery. Deleted files are typically pretty easy to recover, but it some clusters are missing, obviously you might get a partial recovery but not a full one.

If you deleted some files and then you stopped using that volume totally recovery can be almost guaranteed. But if you continued using that volume/drive/partition/etc after the deletion, you can almost always kiss those files goodbye.

Also heard many good things about R-Studio, but EasyRecovery has never given me any reason not to recommend it in several hundred recoveries.
