I can't find the help I need and figured you guys know your stuff with archive software.
Here's my problem; 1 folder full of surveillance video files that need to be organized into day named folders. All I'm looking for is something that will read the file date, put it into the appropriately named folder. I think photo organizing software should be able to be manipulated into do the job but I'm waiting for a better solution.
Even the file name itself has the date in it so I can, if need be, use the file name as a filter to move the files.
Any help or idea's would be much appreciated before I waste time writing my own script.

You can do this quite easily with python. If you're not familiar with programming, I can make a script for you.

Let me know if you'd like me to post one.
