File corruption over WLAN

Recently put together a WLAN using a Linksys WRT54GS and a WMP54GS. Connecting the two was a breeze, but I still have a few issues. The PC wirelessly connected to the router is having issue with both downloading large files from the net and my other pc wired to the router. Any file (demo’s and such) over 300Mb seems to have CRC errors or other install bugs.

Signal Strength never seems to move from “Low”, and changing the channels has no effect. SSID broadcast is off and WPA is being used. Network Stumbler shows SNR of -80 Dbm unless I’m reading it wrong which is a possibility as I’ve only had a quick play with it. That’s with all the 2.4Ghz phones unplugged.

Any ideas, questions, comments?
