Fibre Channel Switch

Hi

I've been given an old Brocade 200E fibre channel switch to have a play about with on my home network.

Just wondering, can these be used as a 'core' switch? I've got a few HP Procurves with fibre ports and I was thinking of connecting the procurves to the brocade.

I'm not sure this will even work, but any input would be appreciated.

I call for nae.

Procurves (and any other networks switch) use ethernet protocol and that Brocade uses fibre channel protocol.
 
Physically, yes you can connect....

But they talk a different language to each other
