First time messing with an Asus motherboard and an AMD proc. Anyway straight to the point. I dont understand the Hyper Transport settings, i know theres something you multiply it with, and that number should normally not exceed 1000mhz in order to leave some head room for mistake, thought some can go up to 1200. I am assuming i should use the HTT but am not sure so im asking.

Next, the frequency of my memory as listed by CPUZ is running much too slow (166mhz when its rated for 250). I read the overclocking guide and it says to use the FSB/DRAM ratio, but there is no such thing that i can locate in the bios. The motherboard im using is the ASUS A8N SLI Rev 1.06 so if its not listed simply as the FSB/DRAM ratio what is it. Basically i just want to find the option to raise it. I have no problem with any of the other memory setting or timings, just these two things. Its a far cry from a locked intel and Abit motherboard. Any help is appriciated.
 
Alright. I have a similar set-up, perhaps I can help.
As far as the RAM:FSB divider, if you set the max memclock to DDR400, this will set a 1:1 divider. That means that you should be able to push your HTT (The "FSB", since the a64 doesn't actually have an FSB) up to 250 before you max out your memory (Provided your CPU can handle it). If you set the max memclock to DDR333, that sets a 5:6 divider, which should allow you to hit 300 HTT, which is a pretty impressive OC.
As far as the HyperTransport, under CPU configuration, you should see a multiplier. It should come preset to 5x, but you'll want to reduce it to 4x, and possibly 3x, depending on how high you OC. To find out how high your HyperTransport is clocked, multiply your HTT by that multiplier. It shoulden't go much faster that 1050-1100 MHz.
