Fixed your/their typo(green) and highlighted the most important part(red).

the GTX 470 listing behind the spec's is listed as a 480 and I was really worried they nuttered the 480, then re-read so I think its some kind of mistake.

That looks like a MASSIVE performance difference in the 480 and 470.

Fermi is going to be the best video card ever!
Ugh just launch the damn thing already...

Their mistake, copied and pasted everything from their website just as I was leaving work. They may also have buggered up the amount of Stream Processors too, well them or Gigabyte anyway.

or it is possible neither did.

They already made a mistake listing the 470, its not unfathomable that they are also wrong on the stream processors.

Hmm, Eyefinity or my 30'. Tough choice but GTX 480 here I come.

I'm personally keeping my 30", just can't stand those bezels ruining the image. I'll reconsider when they release IPS bezel-less ones.

If GTX 470 ain't good I'm getting a 5850 and have to deal with the horrible ATI drivers.

Well, you'd be in for a treat if that happened! ATI's drivers have greatly improved and have actually become pretty nice since the moment you entered your cryosleep chamber in 2003.

Maybe you're right, the last ATI drivers I've dealt with were 780G IGP (home server), and a 4850, both awful experiences. I'm obviously not talking GFX performance here but drivers and control panel.
Perhaps they've improved in these years, we'll see if I end having the chance to try them...

My biggest issue was getting readjusted to the different menu setups and terminology used in ATI's control panel.

Once I figured it out, it's been smooth sailing since.
