Getting a monitor worth $300 more than the unit being replaced and in a whole nother league of upgrade.

Service and Support

MSI Computer Corp.

Greetings Customer,

We could not replace your unit with a same model replacement as we are either out of stock of the model or the model is discontinued. Would the below replacement be acceptable?

I already bought her a replacement beforehand because I hadn't gotten around to processing the RMA, but now I'm glad I did (it developed a artifact line going down the middle area defective issue) because the monitor they are sending in place is a massive upgrade.
Going from a 1440P 170hz to a 4k mini LED 160hz with dual mode 1080p 320hz lol. Since I already bought her replacement 1440p 144hz monitor I'm actually going to end up keeping this little beast for myself 😁
For the first time I'm going to try 320hz to see how it feels. Although I'm used to playing in ultra wide QN90B 45" at 3840x1600 so I'm worried that this 27" in 1080p even at 320hz is going to feel like a downgrade. We'll see soon I'll update when it comes in. Might need a monitor arm to bring it closer to my face since it's so small lol.

That's awesome!

Told this story before, but it applies: Msi swapped a lga board for me a long time ago that I admitted to bending pins on. I hoped just for a discount on a replacement, but I got a brand new one for free. That kinda stuff builds loyalty and I wish more makers would do that kinda thing.

Ya and I love that their service center is in City of Industry in California like 20 miles from me so it's super convenient and if gas wasn't $6.40 per gallon I would have dropped it off but delivered it UPS for about $25 so hassle free, And yea I already like MSI boards and GPUs and monitors but now that I know their RMA is more than decent I'm sticking with them in the future also. I've sent in a water blocked 2080Ti years ago and they replace that no problem at the time come to think of it.
And to top it off they have good customers service not just in RMA and email but you can actually call them on the phone and an actual human picks up the phone and helps troubleshoot your concerns or issues.

Good for you, mate! Only had to RMA twice with MSI gear over 15 years of building PCs, but I've never had a problem doing it.

I have the MAG version of that monitor (MAG-274UPDF-E16M), it's pretty nice. The only issue I have with it (and the other models with the same panel, like the KTC M27P6 I also have) is there's a 1cm or so border around the edge of the screen which is darker than the rest.

Oh, I have not noticed this, i'll take a look.
Is yours 320hz also? i was afraid this was gonna happen but yeah, once i played at 320hz playing at 144hz naturally feels half as fast.
It's a pretty huge difference to me. I wasn't expecting to get so addicted to it. Plus to top it off it's mini led also and it works very well at that.
I'm thinking of getting a monitor arm and running both the QN90B for everthing except fast paced gaming. It's hard to go back to 144hz I literally have an edge.
If you guys are on the fence about a super fast monitor go for it it's amazing and if you want a 27" 320hz monitor this is awesome I love it, if it was 32" it would have been even better.

I ordered a monitor from Dell and the box was really damaged but the monitor was perfectly fine.
That big gash on the back of the box is the screen side of the monitor too.
I called them up and told them the box was really damaged but the monitor was intact. I requested a new box since this one is too damaged to ship or transport the monitor.
I told the rep that I'm going to keep the monitor and to ship me a new box.
A few days later a I get the box, but it has a monitor in it.

So? What you gonna do?

I reported a $20 item from Amazon the other day as not showing up. Got on chat, they refunded me. Of course, found it two days later...right where I stashed it. Figured I would have to go through the chat thing again. Amazon got smart. There is a friggin button now, "Found it!"

The dual mode is pretty useless for me to be honest as I keep a lot of windows up when I play games. Also I tried it once and the monitor wasn't detected again when I tried to switch back so I had to reboot the computer, this seems to just be a dual-mode thing.

I put it in my room,

I had a somewhat similar experience with Samsung, almost 3 years ago, when a big box was left at my door. Opened it to find a 43" QN90B 4K TV that I never ordered. Called Samsung, reported it, and was assured UPS would come by for retrieval within 48 hours. The CS rep thanked me with a $100 gift card. UPS never showed. I tried 2 more times to arrange the pick up. 2 more no shows. The last time I called, the rep said there was no record of the order on my account. HUH??? Waited another 6 months then decided to keep it. Used the GC towards a 4TB 9100 Pro NVMe, last year. :D

That's a small miracle. At that time the qn90b was more expensive prolly like close to a grand right? What a come up lol

Interesting cause it works for me as it should. Because if it wasn't for the 320hz mode for me there is no other appeal. Except for it's pixel density is nice but I haven't even tried the 4K 160hz mode lol. So I'm the exact opposite of you.

I actually got a monitor arm and mounted it to the side and I do pull it up in front of me for shooters and then I move it over to the left and use the big 4k screen for everything else.
