Since i've moved back to the Atlanta area, I haven't been able to find any work. This has been for 8 months now. I just got back my tax return, and was HOPING to have this little amount of money start a little, yet "successful" business, however this won't happen without EVERYONES FEEDBACK, so please continue to read this:

I have been dealing w/ building computers for 10+ years (like most of us here have) I have been pondering an idea of making / producing external W/Cing solutions much like the Koolance Exos units, but ones that perform exceptionally well w/ high OC's:cool: My units will all feature pumps, radiators, tubing, blocks (which might be optional) that are well known, and perform extremely well!

I am undecided about the case to house this all into, but am working REALLY hard trying to find something that is aesthetically pleasing, yet not to overly big. I would like to make it out of aluminum, but metal / plexiglass is possible as-well.

I would like feedback from everyone here if this is something you would be interested in, and or would be interested in purchasing? My target prices should fall into the 275-350 range if all goes right. Any tips or case ideas would be MUCH appreciated;) And if all works out perfectly (which I REALLY HOPE) my customer service will always be TOP NOTCH:D as im a very personable type of guy!

Thank you for spending the time to read this

Seth

I'd like a metal box with removable side panels.

Try to make it fit into as small a space as possible.

tubing through the back via Colder leakless disconnects.

I'd like to see a "performance" noise-be-damned lowest temp box, and a box geared towards making the computer quiet, and a bunch of intermediary choices.

Maybe choice between 120.3, 120.2 or even one with a PA160?

mmmmmm... :D

P.S. oh yeah, and it straddles the case like an Exos-2 or a Waterchill Xternal.

Sharp geometrical features.

Sleek design.

Anodized aluminum case, various colours.

Double radiator design, optional triple radiator version.

Use 1/2" ID (5/8 OD) elbows to save space.

Good pump! (MCP355 with a modded top is small enough)

LEAVE OUT THE RES. Use a Tline in the top part of the system, with a fillport to save room.

Dont use anything from Swiftech (they're IMPOSSIBLE to get supply from, take it from me, or go ask Petra).

The bottom of the enclosure should be padded with rubber, or neoprene allowing for good grip, and a screwless design, also reduces noise.

2 hole cut design. Let the user choose the outlet. have BOTH 2 barbs going straight down into the case (cut 2 small holes on the top of the case and provide a template) and out the back, for a PCI passthrough connection. Provide PLUGS so the user can go either way.

If I get my hands on a scanner sometimes in the future (watercooling first. I have to prioritize :p ), I can do a bunch of sketches and stuff and post them. It can be a group [H] project :D

You might want to check out this post. From the look of it I think you could probably get by with 3/8" tubes with a little modification. This unit combines dual passive cooling towers and the addition of a 360 size radiator all controlled with an Aquaero and an Aquastream pump. Pick whatever blocks turns your fancy.

Swiftech is IMPOSSIBLE your right. Quoc and I spent about 40 minutes or so going over a few things, and that was mentioned;) I was only going to use a res cause the sides on my aluminum case are going to have plexi windows and seeing a nice res with cool colored water that is UV reactive would look great! But a T-Line might be in the works aswell.

That unit looks WAY TO FRAGILE:eek: When im done with mine, you can drop it from a building and still be functional;)

I cant wait to show you all this, but this case design is taking a lot longer then what was expected.

Oh, I bet it is. I spent like 4 days drawing a 3d case design up for a simple mod Im doing. Getting good WC stuff into a centurion 5, while leaving room for a CD and a HD or two.

Design is the most important phase. Anyone can go make anything in a day... it takes a real genius to get a good design going.

Any teaser pics?

What's the theme of the unit? Industrial (that kinda stuff's so cool) or sleak?

industrial and sleek. Case is being made from 1/8 thick aluminum, that I think I will polish to a nice shine, and or have them powder coated.

took me half a year to settle on dimensions for the case I'm going to build...

then I decided I wanted an HE120.1 somewhere with room for an MCR-220-QP later, so now I have to redesign it again

having said that, I'm really interested in what your water box thing is going to look like.

I hope you and everyone else does want to see what this will look like. Should have a mock up case here for the middle of next week.
