Well trying to attempt Linux again with Fedora 6 ZOD, and during installation it doesn't ask me to set the root password. So, obviously this is a problem, but knowing how Linux can be a POS half the time, this is no surprise (suspend also does not work but I'll worry about that later).
How can I set the root password in Fedora 6? I need the network configuration so I can get my wireless to work (Atheros chipset), which didn't work out of the box with Fedora. Do I need to boot into some recovery console and do the chroot /mnt/hda1 passwd root type thingy?
Also, why didn't Fedora 6 even prompt me to set the root password? I hear this is something Ubuntu does as well and its rather something that pisses people off.
