I purchases a lot from Newegg in the last 2 weeks. I am currently tracking 3 different shipments from their warehouse in City of Industry (sounthern CA) to my place here in Northeastern Washington State. They all left CA on the 2nd, some will show up here Monday, others later in the week....but I just checked their locations on the FedEx city. They went from Oakland CA to Memphis TN...and will travel....to.....WA? Why the hell would they ship them halfway to the east coast just to send them all the way back to the extreme NW corner of the nation? I have ordered plenty from them and have NEVER seen that before....

The FedEx superhub is in Memphis. If it goes by air, chances are pretty good it's going through Memphis.

Since they created the entire overnight shipping industry this way (and made hellajack doing it) I don't think they're smoking crack.

Fedex sucks...... I onced tracked my shipment online, and their inept tracking services reported my package being delivered when the item haven't step foot in my house...

FU fedex go to hell.

Usually everyone has had problems with FedEx or UPS at one time or another. It usually depends on your area as to which is better because other then one time i've never had a problem with FedEx here where i live in Missouri. UPS on the other hand can't seem to find their asses with both hands and a map.

Well, its back in Seattle now. Its definately coming here. Package has done a lot of traveling though, halfway across the country and back just to come 800 miles.

i work at UPS, same type of system as fedex.

your package was simply missorted... accidently put on the Tennesee truck, isntead of the washington truck. it wasn't done on purpose, but it happens.... probably happens to 1 out of 3000 packages. (although... most arn't sent halfway across the country)

The only incident i had with FedEx was with a case i ordered and the package kept going all over the State i live in for over a week before they actually got my address right and found me.

Fedex is the best its hard for a company to ship thousands of packages a day

Anybody who thinks they can do better than fedex ought to get into the logistics bussiness, really... nobody's stopping anybody from trying.

Most of my 2nd day air shipments go from CA to Memphis, and then back to Colorado, no-matter who sends them.

Ive never had a problem with either one of them, actually ive been pleased... the ups lady like got off work but had some extra time so stopped back by my house and dropped the package off because we weren there the first time she came by so I was pleased...

However if it went all the way over here near the east coast and has to travel back to you, there was probably a reason for that.

yeah there is a huge fedex center in TN like that one guy above me said. One time my package came in state then left, then came back. I love fedex even though they seem retarded like that. UPS and UPSP takes forever when they deliver my packages.

Same deal happened to me with a few computer parts from Newegg. Still got here in two days with Saver though :) .

100 Fedex shipments from the egg=no problems
1 UPS shipment from directron=crushed,wet/soggy box
nuf said.

all air shipments go to the super hub, it doens't matter

fed ex and UPS are the same way

i've seen many over night packages go from dallas to mephis, and then back to houston or wherever it's tx destination was

LOL its not crazy ... its the sorting facility and since most stuff goes there its much easier for them to sort in one place then shoot out planes to different states from TN ...

Fedex's Ground and Air services are two completely different services (except for when it gets to the package car), whereas UPS's air and ground are the same.

Not all UPS air packages goto a super hub, actually, most don't. Not even all international packages goto the same hub.

I've always had good luck with both UPS and Fedex, both facilities work the same though. Both have humans who are responsible for the packages, both handle the packages the same way, both have human error, etc...

pretty much the *only* difference is, UPS is unionized, and Fedex isn't. Therefore, Fedex can shitcan there dumnass employee's, whereas... UPS can't.

which brings me to my point, i hate working at UPS.

From what you told us, I'm not sure if your Fedex package was ground or air. If air, then yes it goes to a central hub in Tennessee for sorting and planes fly out from there. If ground, then yes they are smokin' crack, hehe.

FedEx > USPS > UPS.

I have shipped A LOT at work, and rarely have issues with FedEx. Any ONE package may not make it but 99.9% do, that is true with any shipper, or service. FedEx is also nicer to deal with once it is lost, UPS likes to play the blame game, you know, "don't blame us."
