People can go crazy over these numbers day in and day out, but it really makes no difference to me. Do you own Sony, MS, or Nintendo stock? Then probly not to you either. I own a 360, and that's all I plan to own. It's got a large installed base and it isn't going to disappear anytime soon, so I'm really not caring much about these monthly #'s, good or bad.
On another note about Japan, I don't get how the DS Lite is selling like crazy there, forget the consoles, handhelds are really the gaming market in Japan. They sell like 100,000/week or something crazy like that. I'm surprised that developers aren't just going crazy to release games for it. I really haven't found anything that interesting for my DS since Castlevania Portrait of Ruin.
