Anybody figure out how to get this in EF?

For whatever reason it isnt supported out of the box and I can't find a config file.

Doesnt work with Nvidia Surround either. Going to have to wait for a mod that fixes it. Its weird because FEAR 2 had support for it.

FEAR 2 wasn't supported out of the box. I believe it was animorphic. It was patched later to support it though. I'll be holding off my purchase until they support it or someone hacks it.

Yeah...eyefinity has totally spoiled me. I don't even want games that don't support in anymore. :(

I was really surprised when I loaded up FEAR 3 that there was no triple screen support.....WTF!

Even fucking DukeNukemForever has three screen support.

It would be a simple fix if I could just located the configuration files.

I guess we just wait for a month or so for someone outside the game to fix it. I hope they(whoever they are) are listening.:D

I checked there earlier but they had not made much progress... I am sure the fov issue will get figured out in a bit also... no time to mess with the game until this weekend anyways... just hoping it will be better then DNF... which is a pretty low bar. :p

I'm sure this is the same thread: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23659&p=216451#p216451

I loaded up a Hex Editor last night and started working on the edit to get 5670 X 1200 resolution.
I'm not very schooled in the Hex Editing, so I still have to work with the program a bit.

That guy Hayden generally fixes everything over at WSGF, so hopefully he'll get something up soon.

If I get mine to take, I'll post here how I did it, etc.

I played about 30 minutes and I think the game is quite good. Graphics are good. Cover system is excellent and fun. Suffers from Consolitis though.:(

Have worked on the HexEditor, but the FOV is really fucked and you essentially cannot play this game in landscape Eyefinity, 5670 x 1200.

The guy HaYDeN on WSGF isn't going to fix it due to his own work.....bummer.

There is a post on the FEAR3 forums that the studio is working on a patch to enable EF and Surround "soon".:D

lol @ "we can sleep in July". Sounds like they might have something soon. Thank goodness. :)

Hmm by 'we' I think they mean their poor college intern that's been working on this.

ramen powered coding ;)

I've only played about 5 mins of the first interval but am going to wait until the patch is out for triple wide landscape action.

I was thinking the same, but I think it's going to be a while.

I was really hoping that HaYDeN guy over at WSGF was going to do this, from his posts he looked like he was right on the verge of having the thing done..........and just stopped short. I don't know what the problem was. He said he was working on his own web site and didn't want to post anymore fixes until he had that done?

Why not just post it on WSGF? He's done it before.

Oh well. I'm going to plow through on single screen and then redo it when the develpers finish their wide screen patch.:D

I was wondering that also.. ugly or not just post a how to for grins... maybe he was full of it? hmmm.. well who knows. :p

Oh god. Why oh why did I order three monitors. I have ruined every other type of gaming. They come tomorrow : / ..... :D

Do not fear (no pun intended) most games are compatible either natively or with simple editing.
Unfortunately, Day 1 Studios is a console developer primarily, and they totally FUBAR'd this deal.

You'll just have to suck this one up I'm afraid.

I'm not holding my breath, I'm almost done with my first go-around. I'm betting this game will be cold on the shelf before it's ready for EyeFinity, if ever.

Game patched to support EF and surround.

I just updated on Steam, started game. went to options and selected 5670 x 1200.

Part oh HUD is right on the bezel. Otherwise, flawless.

I cannot find the noted "options.config " file that was supposedly added though.

I had a dog and his name was . . .

BINGO!

Very cool stuff.. all three screens working, FOV looks good... haven't looked for the config file yet but want to play this game a little finally first. :p

I'm going to assume you meant 5760x1200...

So could it be that they adjusted triple wide for 48:9 (3x16:9), kind of like BC2 ?

Yes, it is 5760.....typo.

I found the config file. It's in steam>apps>common>FEAR.
I read on WSGF where a guy was able to go past 85 to 110 and he said the FOV was near perfect at that adjustment. Havent tried it yet.

85 sucked.

Another guy over at WSGF says 200 is the setting that looks the best? IDK I'm going to try some today and see what looks the best. The default is 75, and looks pretty good but still a little claustrophobic even in EF.

Yep... hard setting the fov to 200 seems pretty much the best I have tried so far...
