I'm using the hotfix-for-the-hotfix (hotfix 2) and it CTDs every 5 mins or so. Vista64 is up to date, GPU is not OC'd, have to use DX9 because it CTDs when loading the game world using DX10.

Rig in sig, any ideas?

Getting sick of going through this with every new game, if it doesn't start just working by next weekend I'm gonna sell up and go back to the green team.
 
I had a similar ctd issue with dx10 when I was running a fps utility...I am guessing you would have mentioned if you were...sorry man...I had no issues with the hotfix

The hotfixes, despite their name, are really independent new driver versions. I had trouble with driver 8.55.1 (AKA Hotfix#2), so I moved back to the previous driver (AKA Hotfix#1). Try simply uninstalling your driver (do not use any driver cleaners or the like), rebooting, and reinstalling hotfix#1.
