FBWF alternative?

Hey, any of you all know of something similar to FBWF that will work on XP Pro? Looking to write-protect most of %SYSTEMROOT% with some directories/reg keys left alone...or, alternatively, some program that can write protect Windows' core files, so NTLDR, NT.DLL, HAL.DLL startup errors would be prevented
