favorite system monitor and desktop customize software?

looking for software to mainly monitor my cpu temp and weather. I have heard about samurize but what else is good. just need some cool things to put on my 2nd monitor. like a calender and whatnot.

As I posted in another thread a while ago, coolmon2 looks awesome, but you almost have to be a VB programmer to get it working.

Coolmon 1 was really cool, but it was super unstable on my machine and crashed all the time.
