Hi,

I just received two EVGA 980's, but when I first tried SLI I was getting red flashing lines.

I've since figured out that the issue is the SLI bridge connector on either one, or both, of the cards. I.e the pair of connectors nearest the case. I've tried two different SLI bridges for this orientation, but neither solved the problem. Moving the SLI bridge to a different pair of bridge connectors works fine however.

Seeing as how it works fine in this orientation, and I rather avoid a possibly lengthy RMA process (plus I'd rather not spend the shipping fees this month), is there anything stopping me from leaving it for now, and then RMAing it at a later date, within warranty, to EVGA themselves, if I decide it necessary/want to sell them?

Nothing wrong with waiting until a later time as long as it's within the warranty period. The RMA process with EVGA is pretty easy though, but as you say, you must pay for the shipping.
