FastTrak TX4310 Help

(currently i have a raid 5 array (x4 500gb) and want to add 2 more 500gb hds for a total of six 500gb over two, 4port tx4310 cards)

ive got 2 of these cards in my system and its supposed to support up to 4TB (x8 500GB). when i installed the 2nd card (x2 500gb's) and run the promise fastbuild utility it only shows the 4 hard drives on the first card but not the 2 on the second card. the system sees the second card as it has assigned it an irq

i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. i know an 8 port raid card would be more effective but this was the more affordable option. lmk if theres anything i can try before i give up. promise's website doesnt offer any help, thanks in advanced

You're best off contacting Promise on this.

Did you setup each array with only one card installed? I'd try that. Setup one card with the other out of the system, then swap cards. Then boot them both together and see what happens.

i tried that, but it ends up only reading the 5 disk array and not the 2 disk, i emailed promise's tech support, lets hope they answer back this year!
