Okay...this is probably a very stupid question but i'll shoot because i just can't seem to find the answer anywhere (and yea I googled):

Does anyone know how to take the FastTrack 100 TX2 and turn it into a simple IDE controller on an XP system (I noticed when I did a search there came up a way to do it for Linux)? I'm just stumped...

When you're setting the drives up in the controller(like you would an array) there should be a way to set them up as individual drives.

Right...maybe making them up as their own arrays (the controller allows 4), but won't that erase the data on them?

I'm not actually sure. Might have to scrub that manual for information on that.

for sure. im starting to think that it only behaves as a raid drive however....

conflict resolved. it turns out making the arrays for each individual drive works. they work as stripe w/ strip blocks running on 64kb. its this alright or is running them on 64kb strip blocks lagging me?
