How well does it run ESO? Or other MMO type games?

I suppose you have a real use for it :) what is it for? VMs? Video?

I'll watch the video later when I am home from work.

If you have to ask yourself it you really need it, you are not a computer enthusiast.

For a enthusiast It is about climbing that mountain/building that outta control computer, the feeling you get when you actually do it and the challenge of climbing that bigger mountain/insane computer build.

Probably cheaper to pay for an expedition to Everest. Less chance of dyeing to hypoxia or hypothermia though.

Are you kidding me. I could use the shit out of that machine. Damn that would be a video manipulators DREAM.

I'm saving for a Threadripper 2 32 right now the more I look at them.

Prolly. But then the best hobbies/obsessions are rarely cheap. ;)

That's not need (you can justify need), that's obsession (a lot harder to justify but no less of a motivator) and the core of what it means to be an enthusiast (y)

Yeah sorry for cell typos in that quote you posted.

I think I'm selling my 7820x and Prine Deluxe x299. I love gaming but I also love productivity and I did own a 16 core threadripper last year but sold it. At the time I didn't need it but now seeing the amount of video work etc I like to do 32 cores would be so nice. But im still in deep consideration because as you said I have no NEED for it. And that is very true.

I do love my 7820x 8 core but it's slow on video work. I remember how fast my 1950x was.

IMO the line between need an obsession is that one who is obsessed does not need to justify anything, where one who has need is obsessed with justification.

:)

BTW, this 2p beast beats fastgeek 4p Intel platinum, at least based on cinebench test and a lot cheaper.

fastgeek, you better do something quick :p:LOL: Also need you to get [H]ard and start BOINC for FB soon.
