fastest computers in the world

Kickass laptop, yes. Fastest computer in the world, um, not even close. Not even remotely ballpark kind of sort of if you squint close. Sorry.

Did I mention that it's a nice laptop, though?

They are just using readily available parts, and combining them in a way that is high performing, but utterly impractical. There's nothing that they did that can't be replicated by an individual or any other computer maker.

Did anyone price it out with all the goodies?
I did (too much time on my hands) and it came out to $14,465. Man that better split the atom and serve me breakfast in bed every morning for that price! :D

Actually, if you crack an egg on the back of one, and throw some bread and bacon down, you could probably cook breakfast on the bottom of one of those suckers...

I'm just going to assume the battery life is about 32 seconds?

Yes.

Full of shit? Yes. Entirely fake? No.

And the "fastest computer in the world" is hardly ever correct, regardless of who claims to have it. Currently, the fastest on paper is the Earth whatever cluster in Japan, I think. But your run of the mill gamer PC will still play CS better... it all depends on what you do with available resources, what you do with the speed you have.

TOP500 Supercomputers

The TOP500 project was started in 1993 to provide a reliable basis for tracking and detecting trends in high-performance computing. Twice a year, a list of the sites operating the 500 most powerful computer systems is assembled and released. The best performance on the Linpack benchmark is used as performance measure for ranking the computer systems. The list contains a variety of information including the system specifications and its major application areas.

Current List (Nov 2003)

I'd say it's a rather big accomplishment, though... to not only copy Apple's site, but also to post more inane garbage about performance.

A while back this site was involved in a hoax/scam

I dont know for sure the were the scamming party or some other site had a load of there pics and stuff and where fake

It had a lcd monitor made out of 3 screens connected to a videocard which didnt even support 2,that was one of the things i remember
