Fastest 8bit panel?

So now that I realized that most LCDs have square pixels (I always thought the 1280x1024 panels where 4:3, not 5:4).

But it looks like most of the fast panels are only 6bit, and I'm a color snob, so those won't do for me.

What's out there that is fast but 8bit?
 
Viewsonic has a 19" that is 8ms and full 16.7million color that alot of people like.
 
The Dell 1905FP using the AUO M190EN03 V0 panel (which is what they sent me)... is an 8 bit panel, 16.7 color, 8ms response time, decently priced (watch for the coupons online...got mine for $315 just last week)... and I love this thing. No dead pixels, no ghosting in fast games. Solidly built. DVI and analog inputs. I would recommend it highly.

Dell quotes it as a 20ms panel :(

Do you know if all of them use that specific AUO panel?

Yah... I called customer support and they are quoting the old Samsung panel they used to use. The correct panel comes up in the monitor under the factory selection and the AUO M190EN03 V0 and can be confirmed at this link as an 8ms, 8 bit 16.7 color panel.

Any confirmation somewhere that all 1905FPs are now using this AUO panel? If I do go ahead and purchase this panel, I want to know that I can get the AUO panel instead of the Samsung panel.

Also, what coupons did you use?
 
I didn't ask for the AUO but got it, happily. I don't know that there is a guarantee but maybe if you call them and ask specifically for the AUO panel they will send it. I kinda think that it is the new standard for the 1905's from what I have read of late. You can call their customer support off their website.
