Farcry Problem

ok, i installed facry, and when i put in my cd to play it i get this error.
CD/DVD emulation software has been detected. Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and re-start the game...
mind you i dont have much running... dony know what they mean buy emulation software....

do you have any software that allows you to copy the entire contents of cd's/ dvd's over to a virtual hard drive so you dont have to put the discs in to play? if so thats why the error is coming up.

It's complaining about cd/dvd emulation software being loaded such as clonecd, daemon tools, alcohol 120%, etc...

I had the same problem with my copy of farcry (came bundled with my evga 6800ultra) even though I had no cd emulation software on the computer. I tried everything from ubisoft support but nothing worked. I finally had to resort to the "thing we must not discuss that is stickyed as the first thread in this forum" which finally allowed me to play the game - great game by the way. Another fine example of the software protection hindering the "buying customers" more than the pirates

I had the same problem with the incoded stuff... so i just got an certin file and it works fine now
