farcry and 6800gs

i have a system with a 6800gs and just installed farcry that came with the xfx package, when i play it, it is really bright everywhere and i have high setting with water on ultra but the water has no effects and the ground is black and choppy everywhere, what do i do? it had probems with farcry on 81.85, then i installed 81.89 and its the same thing
 
Did you install the 81.89 over theold drivers? google a program called drivercleaner and use that to clean your whole system, restart and then apply the new drivers. if that doesnt work, try a new video card, maybe that one is defective....
 
did you install the latest patches for farcry? i think a lot of things were fixed in the v1.3 patch...
 
well first im gonna try to install 1.3 as it works fine on my main system, and if that doesn't fix i will try drivercleaner, as for being defective it isn't, it plays americas army perfectly fine
 
I had the same problem with my cousins 6800gs and Farcry. You need to update to current patches and you'll be fine.
 
sweet installed v1.3 and its all good getting 40-65 fps with this on farcry all high settings at 1280x1024 loving it!
