FarCry + 6800GT

Now that I got my 6800GT all working and everything I figured I'd check out the Far Cry demo (Demo 2 to be specific) to see what everybody was ranting and raving about.

However I ran into severe graphical corruption, like this:

Are these sorts of things fixed in the full version? Cause the gameplay kinda seemed neat and I thought I might pick it up if I ever have $30 I can't find a DVD to buy...
 
yeah, theyre all totally fixed in 1.2, and the speeds are much better as well
 
how many times do we have to go over this? the FC demo is a worthless pos and doesnt work right. buy the full game it's only 30 bucks in most places and quit complaining. :rolleyes:

I have had zero problems with this game since upgrading from my 9800 pro. In fact it play wonderfully with 3D stereo enabled, and FYI stereo 3d is farkin amazing in this game.

does it not give you a headache after like 20mins?

For me my head starts to hurt and my eyes go all funny... :(

Refresh rate is the key. You realistically need a 120hz refresh rate to play comfortably. Although I do need to take a few more breaks. But 3d stereo is so much more immersive, especially in games like farcry. I will eventually set up a dual head projector system and set it up using polarized glasses instead of shutter glasses, that is so much better.
 
120Hz means 60Hz to each eye....

60Hz is what kills it for me...

i cant use 60Hz as i suffer from severe headaches at that rate...i need 70+, usually at lesat 75.
