Far Cry graphics have disappeared

Earlier today, Far Cry was working fine.

THen now when I start it up, the menu and all looks fine, but in-game, there are pretty much no textures and only flat ugly polygons. WTF happened??!?!

Must have accidentally bumped up the difficulty too high.

I had this very same problem... it happened after I formatted my computer and forgot to install the Intel drivers for XP.

Try re-installing the Intel drivers if you have a P4, the AMD drivers if you have an AMD, and or the VIA 4 in 1 drivers if your motherboard has a via chipset.

That happened to me in the demo. Try reinstalling/updating your vid drivers... worked for me. Twice.

Had a similier problem with my ti4200, though it looked a bit different... Updated to newest drivers and bingo, problem solved.
