Far Cry crashes

[Seizure Explosion]

I don't know how this is happening. I just picked up far cry for my new system (AMD Athlon 64 3500+ @2.2 GHz, EVGA 7800 GT, 1GB RAM) and it keeps on crashing. I have all the latest drivers and all the patches for the game. Is there a compatability issue here I don't know about? Every three to five minutes the game just quits and I'm left staring at my desktop and scrating my head.

doing this only with far cry or other games also?

hows your temps?

[morningreis]

Does it crash during gameplay or does the game not even load up?

Only in gameplay, happenes in BF2 and CSS a couple of times but I didn't think much of it.

Temps are fine.

What are the clocks on your card?

Complete system specs would be nice...

nevermind. I bumped the patch level down to 1.1 and the problem went away. Thanks anyway.
