Far Cry and Laptop Radeon

I don't know if this should be here or in the Video thread but here it goes. Does anybody know a work around to get FarCry to play on a laptop with a ATI Radeon? FarCry tech support says that they are not supported. Now one of my soldiers had his wife buy and ship the game over here because it doesn't say on the box that it won't play on a Mobile Radeon. He gets it and it won't play, I told him if anyone knew how to get it to work you guys would, so help me out guys... Just cause we are stuck in Iraq don't mean we can't frag a bit too... ;)
 
FarCry plays fine on mobile radeons. You have to manually install the drivers for it though, since Catalyst drivers won't do it. Google for omega drivers, they'll get FarCry workin for ya.
 
Yep download the latest Omega drivers manually install them and wham! FarCry in Iraq!

thanks for the advise, I tried that and it still didn't work. What do you mean exactly by "manually" installing the driver?
