I installed FC2 on my i7 920/GTX 285 SLI/Vista x64 (aero enabled) setup (and installed 182.05 forceware yesterday) and FC2 blacks out when I move my mouse sometimes, like literally a black screen, I have to move it away and look elsewhere to go back to regular (first level in the car btw), what could be the issue?

Edit: restarted and it crashed as the plane flew over us...

Also it says I need to update my OS and SP1 is highly recommended, would that be much of an issue (downloading it off msdn right now btw).

For the fear 2 demo there is a way of enabling SLI though renaming the exe, is there any way to enable SLI for FC2? I'm getting like 60-80FPS (ultra high all, 4XAA) and read I'm supposed to be getting higher, possibly my stock i7 is bottlenecking it?

black screen, i don't know. far cry 2 has been out for a while and is supported by sli. its a simple process as disabling the feature to see if your frame rates drop. your fps should drop by a third when running on only one card. do you really need to be told how to diagnose this issue. any yes, for christ's sake update your os.

Sounds more like a driver issue than a game issue...but who knows.

Are you sure that FC2 isn't causing you to black out, simply because of its monotony and repitition? I think I blacked out a few times when I played FC2 for more than 10 seconds.

In all seriousness though...an i7 shouldn't be bottlenecking anything I think.

yea I am running an i7 with SLI 280s and have not had any issues with FC2. I'm using the 181.20s. Try turnong on/off vsync and I can't remember if the game has a mouse filter. I had some weirdness with vsync being off.

They game isn't that bad.... If you have fun with it and you like killing stuff. then it's ok. I think I've spent close to 24 hours in the game just getting all the cases and what not. It's the same monotony as GTA. Drive to hell and back for a mission.

Vsync is off, PhysX is off, AA is back to 4X + 4XAF, installed SP1 and now all problems are gone, gamed for hours last night and it was a blast. Getting anywhere from 75 to 130 FPS and about 95 is average on the GTX 285 SLI setup, when I oc my 920 I expect a nice increase. Explosions dont seem to phase this thing in terms of FPS at all  the days of my laptop 9600M GT crumbling in even Left 4 Dead explosions are done! I mean now I get like 100-200FPS on L4D w/ 16XCxQAA/16XAF lmao!

Now I just have to figure out whats so bad about FC2, having a great time with it so far.
