what are some basic good fans or what brand is good.
i need 4 80mm fans i am going to plug them into this so they don't need there own contrlor or anything

ps does anyone have that fan controller good/bad
 
Great choice on the controller. I have the silver version myself and it works like a dream. You get 18Watts per channel and it is very precise when controlling the fans.

I would pair that controller with a good set of 4 80mm Vantec Stealths ;)

Or if you don't mind noise, get some normal 80mm Thermaltake's
 
panaflo fans are very good. long lives, and good airflow per noise. i would say that panaflo ultras(FBA08A12U1A), with 4 pin tail, and no RPM sensor would be good fans to put on that controller.

delta AFB or EFB (not FFB)fans are also very good. they last close to forever, with reasonable airflow and noise. delta EFB0812HHE would be a good 3-bladed offering to use with the controller. delta AFB0812SH would be another good fan, with standard blade layout.

any of those fans are top quality, but too loud at full speed. dialed down near the bottom of what the controller can take them to, they are virtually inaudible. somewhere in between, there is probably a noise and performance level that is the right balance for you.

i don't really reccomend stealths:
vantec stealths(re-branded nidec fans) are pretty good fans when they work correctly. the hubs are not very well anchored on them, meaning that is is very easy for the fans to get damaged while the fan is being shipped, or while cleaning your machine with an air duster. the hubs are made that way on purpose, because part of the way in which they are so quiet relys on floating most of the weight of the fan/motor on magnets, to reduce pressure on the bearings, and so reduce bearing noise. big ones are more suseptible to such damage, and therefore you hear about more people having problems with them.
