Getting a P 180 soon and intend to put everything in my sig in it...

Was wondering if the fan's that it comes with are good enough ? Im looking for the best power/noise ratio...quietest powerful fans :)

If anymore info is needed, just lemme know...

Any suggestions ?

i hear panaflos are good...

avoid thermaltake, their DBA ratings are bs.

lol...ok..thanks for the heads up..

Panaflo's eh ? Ok..will check em out :)

What about CM's fans ?

sweet...that sorts me out on the 120mm front :D

edit : On a separate note, my 1 month old A8N-SLI NB fan is making noise  im not about to RMA it just cos of that tho and it would ultimately be best to replace the HSF...Suggestions ? TIA

The stock 120mm fans are decent on low. You could get better, but they're alright.

Replace the fan with a Zalman NB47J, if you've got clearance.

cooler master also makes a passive chipset cooler, it's very cheap only like $5.00 and i don't think it's all that tall, shouldn't have any issues with clearance.

When going passive on the nForce4, you want as much surface area you can get...

A few days ago, I purchased a second eVGA 7800GTX graphics card and IMMEDIATELY my temps went up from 46c (idle) to 75c (idle).. Well during gaming, it got VERY hot (89c). So a local trip to my local computer store was in order and I cannot find ANYTHING that cools my 7800GTX SLi setup. Well, long story short, I fabricated a bracket to hold (3) Antec 80mm fans. The bracket was mounted directly to the back of my Thermaltake Case. Now my temps are roughly 48c (idle) and 58c (heavy load). I'm WAY impressed with the end results and with my Zalman CPU Fan.

Nexus makes truly silent 120mm fans and they run at their advertised dbA. I actually can't tell when my pc is on because I can't hear it :D

Woah...What about noise levels ?

I have the 80mm LED model and the noise levels are very acceptable. Honestly, I really can't hear the Antec fans. My Zalman 120mm CPU Fan is the "loudest" off all the fans in my case and even the Zalman is not what I would call loud.

thanks !

edit : for CPU and SB cooling...gonna go with Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro and a Zalman NB47J. Ok ?

edit2 : Also decided to go with x2 120mm Nexus "Real Silent" case fans...since theyre hidden..the almost fluorescent orange wont bother me much :) also a couple of their 80mm's and 1 92mm...

i hope you have a windowless side panel so that you can sleep at night :p :p

Also, is it better to put my raptor in a CM cooldrive or on in cage alone with a 120MM Real Silent ?

I just ordered 2 Nexus 120mm fans and a Nexus 500W powersupply. I'll post my findings when they get here.

I have a window.. its not bad because the computer sits up against my TV stand.. So all I see at night is a mild blue glow in an otherwise dark bedroom.
