I have two 80mm fans rated at 2000rpm (coolermaster). But one of them spins at a pathetically low 500 rpm or there abouts while one fan shows 1900 rpm.
why is it so?

which fans do fans 1,2,3,4 signify?
only two of the 4 show any reading and that too wrong.
I have stock Intel fan.

temps are:
HD0 29C
Internal Temp 37C
Remote Temp 39C
CPU 48C

the processor is P4 INTEL 3.2 Ghz prescott and the mobo is INTEL so I am not OCing.
Also does speedFan 4.27 allow me to manually change the fan speed? If not then what do the three speed levels of Speed01,02 and 03 signify? all are 30% in my case

How is the fan hooked up to its power source? Is it from a case fan header on the mobo or an atx power connect?

what i can gather...mine shows 5 temps & three of my 4 120mm fan speeds...I think it only shows the fan if its hooked to the mobo instead of a power lead..but my first temp is my CPU...
