Fans not working on video cards?

I have a pair of GTX 570's and some weird stuff just happened. Everything was normal, then I went to play some Metro 2033 and it was all filled with artifacts. Went to play RAGE to check if it was the cards, no artifacts. But I noticed my fans stopped spinning when my computer froze.

5 seconds later, BSOD. Couldn't get it to boot without BSOD, and the GPU fans wouldn't spin either.

I did adjust the fan speed in EVGA precision before playing, and I have had trouble with this before, but nothing like this.

After a few minutes I finally got it to boot, but the fans weren't spinning yet. What *always* fixes it is if I go into EVGA precision and either change it, or just going into it can start the fans up again.

Not sure if it's drivers, EVGA precision, or what? Both of my cards are EVGA GTX 570's.

They're also not overclocked, either. And every time I'd get the BSOD on boot (Three times), my computer would post with a normal beep.

All my hardware is recognized by my motherboard still, nothing broken. Just wondering what you guys think? Should I stop using EVGA precision?
