Can I hear comments on fanless psu's like zalman, etc..... Are they decent? What are the decent ones?

The sticky has a list of some fanless PSUs, and they usually only put good ones in there. But I have no experience with them so I'm not too sure on the quality...

specifically

but be advised, simply tossing in a fanless, may not be a plug and play solution
there are issues that generally need to be weighted and addressed to ensure its longevity

the Phantom is an exceptional supply in many ways, for starters on how heavilly weighted towards the +12V rail it is, trimming off much unused capacity on the +5V rail
so you really need to run the numbers when building a silent system
they are fundementally different, and thermal tweaking is almost always required
if you want it to last

Could always give the ThermalTake with gigantic copper heatsinks a go, they've gotten decentish reviews. Personally i'd just go with a Zalman thats gota low noise fan, far better option cause you cant hear it anyway
