Fan wiring help!!!

ok so im replacing an antec fan that had a 2 wire molex connector for power and its own 3 speed controler.. i have a 3 wire fan but no open fan headers on my mobo.. question is how do i wire a 3 wire fan to just power and ground to make it run wide open all the time??

1 - Black - GND
2 - Red - 12v
3 - Yellow - Tachometric Signal

So obviously Black -> GND, and Red -> 12V. Just leave the Yellow disconnected.
 
thanks yeah its been a while and couldnt remember what to do with the yellow.. thanks a million for the quick reply
 
Also you can place resistors in line with the fan power as well to slow down the fan to your liking. I have seen a few motherboard's that came with them already with different size resistors for different speeds.
