Is it possible to make something that would, like connect to the yellow wire on a fan and have the tachometer signals go to a small LED display (like the 2 digit kind, but except with four or so number spaces) ?

or maybe have it go to a bar graph led that would change levels of lit LEDs to report like what fraction of the fans total speed it was running at?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah they make lots of stuff like that. Check out the Hardcano by Thermaltake. Another cool one is the Aerogate by Coolermaster. Personally, I like the Aerogate 2. It changes color and does a whole bunch of neat things.

it would be cool if you could mod an led bargraph or a numeric counter (7 segment display?)r to show what voltage its running at

You could probably do it, just the problem of HOW you do it. You would need to be like an Electronics technition, or have some of that type of background
