Hey- so I'm planning a custom build and I'm planning on having a full flow-through case setup with 6 fans- 3 intake across the front, and 3 exhaust across the back of the machine. Now here is where I need some help. I don't really know much about fans. With this setup, I want it to be relatively quiet, while still moving a solid amount of air through the case. I also am hoping not to spend too much on the fans. Basically, I figure I'll want 140mm or larger, but I don't know which fans. Anyone have suggestions on the best fit for my setup?

Gentle Typhoons. That's what you want.

For 140 fans, I would say the Noiseblockers. Behind that would be the Aerocool Shark.

120mm Gentle Typhoons are great. I'm getting a few of those myself. What you want to consider w/ those is price. They are about $20 a pop. If you can afford it go for it. You'd also want to get a fan controller 4 these fans.

If you are on a smaller budget i would consider Yate Loons as Flyinfinni suggested. Both their 120mm & 140mm fans are excellent. I got some in my rig right now, they are relatively quiet & move a lot of air. Plus they come in gorgeous blue, red & green LED as well as black not to mention they are very cheap. I would say for 120mm get the medium or high speed versions, you can always tone em down w/ fan controller if you get 1 but as i said they are not really loud, at least to me but i'm not really noise sensitive. W/ 140mm get the high speed if going for max airflow & if not medium speed will be good.

if you want quiet go with some delta electronics fans... lol jk i like yate loons.
