I am going to be diving in to replace my current case/cooling setup. I will be purchasing a Lian-Li PC-65 to replace my Antec PlusView1000AMG. I have been looking at different 80mm fan options and I don't want to reuse my Cooler Master Blue LED Fans in my new case. I have almost decided on the Quad Orange/Blue UV LED 80mm Fan but does anybody know who else carries these? $10 per fan is just too much to be spending on these. That and I will be purchasing Thermalright XP-120 and I've been looking for a good 120mm LED Fan. Could anybody suggest one or just a plain black 120mm fan with high CFM and under or around 30 dBA?

Thanks in advance...

Rule of thumb : fans should just do what their name states : VENTILATE!!!

thus, no fancy lights, no gayass paint & crap

are you THIS braindead that you need to WATCH your fan ?

what's the point then ? it's just a spinning piece of plastic, save on ricing to get something REAL done instead :)

Do people WATCH cold cathodes? No, they just sit there and emit light. Having an illuminated fan does the same thing - you get dual functionality. Yes, a fan is supposed to ventilate, but why not kill two birds with one stone - get good ventilation, and get a cool color scheme. Just because he likes illuminated fans doesn't mean he's braindead. And btw, all fans are not just any ol' regular "spinning piece of plastic." if it means higher cfm, lower dba, and longevity, then its worth $10. Great companies like Panaflo wouldn't exist if they didn't make really good spinning pieces of plastic.

Yhat was sarcasm .. I do know a bit about fans, I myself use some specific models from Papst & Comair Rotron

and let's face it, led fans won't illuminate much,it's most like putting up a small light show if you got a blowhole and that's it

Flame me if you want, but I still believe some items should be discrete

I agree that some items should be discrete. I for one don't like led fans - they really don't light up much like you said and in my experience they don't match color-wise with CCFL's. None the less, if the boy likes em, then he should get one. One of the best fans was an LED enermax - the thing was silent and worked wonderfully. And I'm not the best at assessing sarcasm over text, my apologies. ;)
