Sometimes the LEDs are on a different power connector, easiest thing to do is disconnect it if possible. I'm guessing you have already tried to disable it via the software and it doesn't work either.

The software has no effect. The weird thing is aswell before I changed the fans I had the Gigabyte logo and the fan stop light up purple, this got reset and now when I select purple in the software, it only changes the fan stop colour to purple and gigabyte logo goes to a different colour.. very strange.
There was only 3 power connectors on the board when I took it apart, I take it 2 will be for the LEDs and 1 is for the fans?
