I'm building a fairly stout external rad box setup and need some help figuring out which would be better. I have a 6 inch opening to deal with thru the concrete wall at my shop and would like to push as much CFM as possible thru it. I've been looking at two fans in particular the Elisent 6 inch and Elisent 8 inch with a 6 X 8 inch reducer. Specs are as located at
http://www.elicent.it/inglese/axcmet.html
The 6" fan pushes 247CFM for the "A" model or 309CFM for the "B" model
The 8" fan pushes 418CFM for the "A" model or 615CFM for the "B" model
There is also a 10 and 12 inch version available, they push as follows:
The 10" fan pushes 695CFM and the 12" pushes 1198CFM
Remember that all this airflow has to be reduced to fit thru an existing 6" opening thru a foot thick concrete wall. I am assuming that there will be a point of deminshing(sp?) returns where it would not really be feasable to go with a larger fan. I would appreciate any input/advice on this problem. FYI I plan on running a folding farm of sorts on H2O and noise is not really an issue as it's out the back of a shop in an industrial park. These are very good fans from what I hear and read, much like the iwaki when it comes to pumps and can handle some static loads as per the specs. Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance...
