The case i have is poorly cooled and i was thinking of adding a 2nd 120mm fan for intake, problem is my hard drive cage is facing me when i open the case up, it seems to me it will block the airflow alot. Am i wasting my time or will it cool it down a decent amount. The fan i was thinking of getting is an antec 120mm fan with 79 cfm.

If you look carefully at the dsign there, you will see that this is taken into consideration.

Put the 120mm antec fan in there, and it will cool your HDD and case better.

EDIT: I'm not sure if this well actually help, but taking out the extra HDD racks might be an idea too.
 
Take out any unnecessary trays you might have in there. My friend (also with a SLK3700BQE) put a 80mm fan on the other side of the hard drive bays (the side facing the motherboard) that helps pull in air from the front. Think of the Antec Sonata and you'll know what I'm talking about.
